This recipe is a huge surprise! No eggs......in a cake??? Yup yup yup!!! It's not only delicious but simple to make. Try it......you'll love it! Seriously!
VEGAN CHOCOLATE CAKE
Makes 12 Pieces
1 Piece - 3 PointsPlus™
2 cups all-purpose flour1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp salt
5 TBSP unsweetened baking cocoa
2 cups Splenda granulated
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
2 tsp vanilla
2 TBSP white vinegar
2 cups water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Make a "well" by pushing the ingredients to the sides of the bowl. Add liquids into the well and mix together. Pour batter into a 9x13 or two 9" circle pans lightly sprayed with non-stick spray*. Bake for 30 minutes.
*I use the spray for baking with flour in it.
I topped this with Cool Whip Free, but you really don't need any topping. Also, I made it in the 9x13 baking pan and can easily get more than 12 pieces.
